Summer Sand Soccer U10-U18 BOYS Player Registration

Are you ready to continue the soccer FUN in the off-season this Summer? Shade 1-on-1 is excited to announce we will once again offer club neutral Sand Soccer competitive teams. The best part is with our increase in coaching staff we are now able to offer even more player age groups for the 2023 season!

Must Complete if Interested: With the growing interest base in our off-season club neutral teams, we are requesting all interested players to complete the following google doc. Completion of this form does NOT guarantee placement and is required for player consideration.

Sand Soccer Program Interest Form 2023

• Interest forms completed after July 1st will automatically be placed on a waitlist and notified after July 15th if any placements are still available.

Our teams will be attending the second Beach 5 Summer Soccer Series tournament this year on Saturday, August 5, 2023 on the beach area off Dorchester Street in Ocean City, MD. 

Players are to wear black shorts (if played on our winter futsal teams wear those).

If desired, players will need to provide their own sand socks (this brand works well: Sand Socks - be sure it's a snug fit otherwise the player's foot will slide in them on the sand from constant shifting).

SHADE 1-ON-1 SUMMER SAND SOCCER 2023 TOURNAMENT DETAILS:

• Seeking Player Groups: U10 to U18
• Teams will be limited to 10 players each - No Exceptions
• Cost: $142 per player including new uniform top; if your uniform top still fits from last year it's $115 per player
• Cost Includes: Event Registration, Coaching Fee, Player Jersey, and 2 local Team Training Sessions on sand leading up to the Tournament.
• Training Location: Kent Island beach areas/beach volleyball court
• Training Dates/Times: Monday July 31st & Tuesday August 1st, 2023 both at 6:00pm
• Payment & Waiver Deadline: by 1st team training on Monday July 31st, the completed Beach 5 Tournament Waiver can be emailed to tm.shade1on1training@gmail.com or printed and given to Lauren Dutrow at training

IMPORTANT - SHADE 1-ON-1 PLAYER PARTICIPATION WAIVER MUST BE SIGNED (this is IN ADDITION to the Beach 5 Tournament Waiver)

Supplemental Information from Beach 5 Soccer Series:

PLAYER EQUIPMENT

Footwear: It is strictly forbidden to wear any kind of footwear other than what is authorized. Authorized footwear includes bare feet, sand socks; socks taped up and foot wraps.

Uniforms: Teams must wear their team uniforms. Goalkeepers shall wear a uniform of contrasting color with other players and the referee. No jersey numbers are required. Use of plastic goggles for eye protection is allowed.

SIMPLIFIED RULES

These simplified rules are for your convenience, the Beach 5 Sand Soccer Series LAWS OF THE GAME are the official rules.

• The Penalty area is 10 yards deep by the width of the field.
• The goalkeeper can use his hands in the Penalty area.
• All U11 players and below are NOT permitted to use their head to bump the ball.

If the foul occurs in the penalty area A penalty kick shall be awarded at the center of the penalty line and all players must remain behind the penalty line.

If the foul occurs in attacking half of the pitch (not in the penalty area) A direct free kick shall be awarded at the location of the foul and all players must remain behind the ball.

If the foul occurs in the defensive half of the pitch No wall may be formed, no player can stand in the triangle formed by the ball and the two goalposts. No player may interfere with the ball except the keeper if it is being shot towards goal or is still in the air. If it leaves that triangle or touches the sand, any player can play the ball. All keeper re-starts are with hands only; there is no goal kick. The goalkeeper cannot score a goal using his hands. The goalkeeper is allowed to touch/receive the ball with his hands or arms from either a pass back or header from a teammate ONCE during a given possession. However, the keeper shall NOT BE ALLOWED TO DO THIS A SECOND CONSECUTIVE TIME during a given possession without the ball touching an opponent player. Defenders must remain 5 yards from the ball on a corner kick. Ball can be inbounded from the sidelines using either hands or feet. A goal cannot be scored directly from an inbounds. The keeper can receive an inbounds with his hands; this counts as first pass back. There are no offsides.
